Feeling Fit, Fab and Fresh in Winter!

Winter can be a very hard time to sticking to your normal day to day routine. However, it’s very important to keep your day to day life as normal as possible.

Just like every other day, you want to stay in routine, keep up your fitness and eat healthy while staying warm.

So if you are you wanting to stay fit, fab, and fresh throughout the colder seasons, then keep reading for some helpful tips.

1. ROUTINE

Stay in your routine.

Yes, it may be harder to wake up when it’s dark and cold but you don’t want to lose any hours from your day. Because let’s be real, we could all use some extra hours in our days.

Set your alarm before bed and when it goes off, get up. Even if you have to put your phone on the other side of the room so you physically have to get out of bed to turn it off.

Also avoid pressing snooze. Marygrace Taylor states that pressing snooze is not only bad for your sleeping cycle but it messes up hundreds of genes in your body leading to illness.

Snoozing doesn’t go hand in hand with keeping in routine so make sure you wake up and get up!

2. EXERCISE

Exercising can be the hardest thing to stay on top of when it’s cold. All you want to do is lay in bed covered with your blankets and watching Netflix.

However, you need to keep your butt moving if you want to stay fit, fab and fresh during winter. It’s not only good for you physically, but it’s super good for you mentally.

Try getting your clothes ready the night before or even sleep in your workout clothes so you don’t have to get changed in the morning.

Buy a light weight jacket and some long leggings to help keep you warm.

If you’re still struggling to make it to the gym or going for your daily run, have you considered buying a dog? A dog can be a great way to get you moving as you are not only needing to look after yourself, but you have someone to keep you accountable.

So buy a new outfit, buy a dog, and get your body moving!

3. FOOD

Drinking hot coco all winter sounds perfect to the ears but unfortunately not to the hips.

Switch it up to the healthier options! Use websites like Taste.com or Jamie Oliver to search for healthy recipes to eat during winter.

Your hips will definitely thank you 😉

There are a bunch of recipes for soups and crockpots to keep you warm and satisfied. Search for easy snacks or quick and simple meals if you don’t have much time. There is so much out there on the web that you will probably run out of winter days before you run out of recipes.

Search the web, go to the kitchen and start cooking.
